Brownie Twist

Here are a few twists to your basic brownie mix...
Feel free to substitute sugar free or fat free ingredients. It doesn't seem to effect the recipe's.

Mint Brownies
- Bake brownies as directed. When you remove the brownies from the oven immediately lay Andes mint across the brownies. Once they melt take a knife and pull across or swirl or whatever you want.

Smore Brownies
- Make a graham cracker crust with graham cracker crumbs and butter. (Follow recipe on crumb box) Press in bottom of pan and pour in brownie mix. Cook as directed. 10 minutes before brownies are done put a handful or 2 of mini marshmallows on top and return to oven.

Speckled Brownies
- Bake brownies as directed. 10 minutes before brownies are done sprinkle a handful white chocolate chips on top. If you put them in the mix they will fall to the bottom. You can try dusting them with flour, sometimes it keeps them from falling.

Cheesecake Brownies
- Prepare brownie mix. For cheesecake mix 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, 1/3 cup powder sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 egg. Reserve 1/2 cup brownie mix. Pour remaining brownie mix in pan. Add cheesecake mix evenly over brownie mix. Add spoonfuls of reserved mix around pan. Swirl with spoon if desired. Cook as directed. Brownies may take 10 or so minutes longer so keep and eye on them.

Enjoy!!!

What Is Skittles Up To

Skittles keeps me company when I cook / bake. He's very supportive. I thinks it's only fair that you meet him. Maybe he will show up now and then. Who is Skittles? He is my very handsome 30 pound Norweigen Forest Cat. He likes to be brushed (he gets knots on his back because he can't reach), treats (that is why he is 30 pounds), and basking in the sun.
Below is a picture of me trying to hold Skittles.

Pumpkin Is Good All Year Long

We love pumpkin! With the extended cold weather it is still a delicious, straight out of the over treat. This is a great twist to a box cake mix that anyone can do.
Use a spice cake mix (I prefer Duncan Hines). Take out 1/2 cup oil or water (depending on the mix) and replace with 1/2 to 3/4 cup canned pumpkin mix.
Enjoy!!!

Cupcake Bouquet

These bouquets are too pretty to eat. They can be made for any occasion, Easter, Mother's Day, Birthdays, Baby Showers, etc. Flavors and colors made to your order.

Pink Princess Cupcake Cake

This was done for a very special 4 year olds "princess" birthday. The cake is strawberry and the icing, sprinkles and cherry on top are all pink.

Top It Off With a Cupcake

We did this cake for a friends quinceanera party. The cake is different flavors and covered with fondant. We also made the extra cupcakes and cookies to match the candy theme.
